机动车，正式说法为支援车，指在其他线路正班车辆因故无法出勤时而使用的车辆，亦可理解为备用车。一般来说，每个分公司及其下属调度站都有固定某几台机动车，巴士迷通常称之为鸡车。
简介
机动车往往是一些较为老旧，使用时间较久的车辆，一般是从各线路正班车中退下的车辆，或是某些无须全日行驶的车辆，但也有部分车辆新车上线不久就转为机动车。
机动车目前分为两种类型：
- 挂牌机动：指专门用于线路机动的车辆。这些车辆往往不在任何线路挂牌，只挂在机动组内。如无机动任务，则回场停放。
- 抽调机动：指从其他线路抽调用于临时支援、加班的车辆。
特征
- 在三牌标识和导向图电子化之前，挂牌机动车一般不挂三牌，车内不装导向图，当有机动任务时，就会在车头左侧、乘客上车侧摆放胶牌。
- 三牌和导向图电子化后，挂牌机动车在接到机动任务时，会通过网络更新三牌、导向图资料，如果机动车车型与该线路常用车型一致，则难以从外观上辨认是否为机动车。
- 可通过判断车头挡风玻璃左下方的线路贴纸与所行驶的线路是否一致，若不一致，则为抽调机动车。
